Ease That Post-Workout Hunger

Working out can make you feel a lot of things; happy, healthy, fit, body positivity, and much, much more. But there’s one thing that many of us feel, yet don’t know how to conquer it. Now, you’re probably wondering, “What could that possibly be?”

HUNGER!  The answer is hunger! Working out can be the cause of the ravenous hunger that you just can’t seem to get rid of.  We’ve asked our instructors a few of their favorite post workout snacks that’ll be sure to fill you up, please you taste buds, and nourish your body!

1)   Homemade Acai Bowl

These delicious snacks are like smoothies, but in a bowl and served with fruit topping. There’s a crazy amount of different ways to make an acai bowl, but we love this super easy, super quick classic recipe that’ll ease your post workout hunger.

2)   Blueberry Spinach Smoothie

Two for one deals are always the best and that’s why this smoothie is going to be your new all-time fav! Not only is it sweet and savory, it’s helping you eat your greens without the struggle. The spinach is blended in with delicious fruit, leaving you with a fruit flavor with the power of greens.

3)   Watermelon

This classic snack will bring back those childhood memories. The refreshing fruit is a quick and easy fix that will never go old. Watermelon after a workout is good for you for so many different reasons, such as refreshing your body after all that sweat you just lost!

4)   Oatmeal

Oatmeal isn’t just for breakfast; it has many benefits that are great for a post-workout snack. Oatmeal is packed with complex carbs which helps with maintaining energy, loaded with fiber to help you feel fuller and satisfied earlier, and helps reduce joint and muscle inflammation.
