SPIRE SQUAD CHALLENGE

Start September strong with our SPIRE Squad Challenge! Beginning September 5th, you will have 26 days to attend 17 of our 19 instructors' classes. Mix it up! Be Adventurous! Begin September with strong routine that will keep you going all fall long!

Complete the challenge and receive a SPIRE Snapback hat on us! Pick up your challenge card at the front desk starting the week of August 28th. Make sure to get your card stamped at the desk after every new instructor's class you attend. Once your card is complete return it back to the front desk. We will be raffling off a five class pack, free admission to all upcoming 90-minute rides, FREE two night stay and the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel, and other goodies to those that completed the challenge.

It's back and this year we've upped the challenge! Build up your stamina for 40-minutes of heart-pounding cycling, 40-minutes of endurance walking or running, and 40-minutes of circuit training with the ergs and TRX straps. Triathlon finishers will receive some special SPIRE swag.

RIDE + ROW TO INSPIRE: ADOPT A FAMILY

Mark your calendars for our Ride + Row to inSPIRE on December 8th. We have teamed up with Journey House, a local center that helps to increase education, reduce crime, and empower local families. SPIRE is participating in the Adopt A Family program by sponsoring two Milwaukee families. We want to spread the holiday cheer by providing gifts for our families. However, we can't do it alone. We need your help!

How can you help?                      

  1. Choose an ornament from the tree in the SPIRE lobby or email us. The ornaments have different requested gifts from our two families. Choose a gift or two that you are willing to go out and purchase.
  2. Make a monetary donation at SPIRE Fitness.
  3. All gifts are due back to SPIRE by 12/8/16 with the paper ornaments you picked. These gifts or monetary donations will serve as admission to the 5:15 PM & 6:15 PM Ride classes and the 6 PM Crew + TRX class on December 8th. 
  4. SPIRE will wrap all the gifts and deliver them.
  5. You helped to spread holiday joy to Milwaukee!

Thanksgiving Regatta

This November we will be hosting a Thanksgiving Regatta here at SPIRE Fitness on 11.24.16! Join us for the 7:30 AM or 8:30 AM races and start the holiday season off with a heart-racing workout. Complete the event solo and row 2,000 meters or grab a partner and row a combined 5,000 meters. The event is FREE to attend. Don't be afraid to mix and match! Row and Cycle on Thanksgiving for the best of both worlds.

In order to get you ready for the event. we’ve come up with a training schedule for the month of November. How do you start to train for the event? Join us for any of our SPIRE Crew classes before 11.24 to practice your rowing skills and participate in training drills for the event!

SPIRE is turning two! It's time to celebrate. We are celebrating two years of sweat with a two hour cycling experience! Join four of our SPIRE instructors as we take you through 120 minutes of all of your favorite choreography. Wear turquoise, orange, and gray to show your SPIRE Pride. One lucky attendee will win a free month of classes.

After class join us for cupcakes and some bubbly at the studio.

Work up an appetite for your new favorite meal - an outdoor “chic picnic” in a secret location! Join us for a white-out ride (wear as much white as you can) at 5:15 PM, after which we will reveal the location of dinner.

Clean up, dressing in your favorite whites, and meet at the secret location at 7:00 PM for a dreamy community picnic of the greatest elegance!

Learn to Row on the Water

Take your rowing skills out on the water! Our four week Learn to Row program begins this July. SPIRE Fitness and the Milwaukee Rowing Club will teach you how to apply your rowing knowledge to rowing out on the Milwaukee River.  

Session 1: Rowing Basics at SPIRE
Thursday, July 7th 5:30 PM
This 60-minute workshop will be hosted at SPIRE by Roger, coach of the Milwaukee Rowing Club. This 60-minute session will break down rowing form and give you the information you need to learn how to row out on the water. 

Session 2-4: Rowing on the Water
Thursday, July 14, 21, & 28 6 - 7:30 PM
The Milwaukee Rowing Club will be opening their doors, providing access to their coaches, the boat house, and all their equipment for three on the water sessions. Experience the Milwaukee Rowing Club's Boat House, learn how to carry your rowing shell to the water, and use your rowing skills in an eight person shell on the Milwaukee River.

Attendees must attend session one and/or two in order to join for sessions three and four. Attendees are encouraged to attend all four sessions to the most valuable experience.

Cost: $100 for four week program
$30 drop in fee for single sessions (Session one and two only.) 

The max capacity would be 24 people for this program.

SPIRE's Loud and Proud Pride Ride (90-Minute Ride)

We are celebrating LOVE on June 12th at 9:30 AM with Robert and Danielle. Come celebrate love in all of its different shapes and sizes with this 90-minute extended ride. You can expect to sweat it out during 45-minutes of high-energy Rhythm Ride and 45-minutes of heart-pounding SPIRE Ride (+).

Come decorated in your favorite loud and proud attire. SPIRE will provide tattoos, body paint, and stickers. After class we will be heading over the The Yard for food and drinks. The celebration will continue on South 2nd Street in Walker's Point for the Milwaukee Pride Parade at 2 p.m. 

Spend the day celebrating LOVE with SPIRE! 

Cost: 

Monthly Unlimited Members: $10.00

Block 'N Roll with Urban Om

 Join Kelsey, owner and Yoga Instructor at Urban Om for our Block 'N Roll event! A perfect compliment to your Saturday morning cycling class, join us for 45-minutes of cycling at 8 a.m., 9:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. then stick around for 45-minutes of bliss. 

Block 'n Roll will provide you with a full body muscular release of the tension that is built up from daily activity/inactivity. With the use of a tennis ball and a yoga block, you will be guided into accessing trigger points in your muscles with the weight of your own body to massage the soft- and connective-tissues, helping to prevent muscular injuries and improve function and performance. Enjoy the sense of release and relaxation after 30- minutes lying on your mat.

Cost: $10.00
