TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF. WHERE ARE YOU FROM AND WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO MILWAUKEE? WHEN YOU ARE NOT AT SPIRE, WHAT ELSE KEEPS YOU BUSY?
I’m originally from Serbia and lived there until I was 17 years old before coming to US. My job brought me to Milwaukee --- I teach neuroscience and psychology and UW-Milwaukee and am also a research scientist working on Alzheimer’s and dementia.
DO YOU COMPETE IN ANY TYPE OF SPORT OR ACTIVITY?
I danced (ballet and modern). A knee injury led me to yoga, which then led me to cycling, water sports, rowing and paddling. Now I compete in Dragonboat racing.
DO YOU HAVE A MOTTO?
The only bad workout is the one that didn’t happen.
