Tell us about yourself. Where are you from and why did you decide to try SPIRE?
I’m from Gladstone, Michigan a small town in the Upper Peninsula. I came to Milwaukee to attend Marquette University and am currently in my third year studying advertising and marketing.
I love group fitness and had always wanted to try a spin class. My parents bid on a SPIRE package last February at one of my sorority events and told me I had to finally try a class instead of talking about it! I’ve been addicted ever since!
How has SPIRE impacted your personal life?
SPIRE has motivated me to become a better version of myself. I am able to feel good and confident while attending class. Being constantly challenged and encouraged by incredible instructors has allowed me to see how awesome I can be!
What types of physical and non-physical activities do you do outside of SPIRE?
Outside of SPIRE I am a Marquette Athletics Intern and a full-time student. In my free time I love exploring the city, finding new restaurants, traveling, boating, and downhill skiing. Honestly, I just love staying busy and active!
What is your guilty pleasure?
lululemon or cupcakes..preferably with sprinkles! I love sweets!

Welcome to New York by T-Swift.

If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
Flying. I would love to travel to many countries around the world and having free airfare would be an awesome bonus!
What is your primary motivation to come to the studio?
SPIRE is all about community. Knowing that I have a group of individuals and awesome strangers to motivate me and sweat with, is incredible. SPIRE is like family. That’s why I keep coming back.
Do you have any advice for people who are anxious to try SPIRE?
Go in open-minded and ready to sweat! You won’t regret it!
What is your life motto and why?
Never Give Up. Life can throw so many obstacles at you, but learning how to overcome them and not giving up is truly what matters and makes you a stronger person.
How do you continuously get the best in your classes at SPIRE?
By pushing myself and always going into every class ready to work, no matter how stressful of a day I have had. I tell myself that attending a class at SPIRE is redefining my happy hour.
What are your goals for next year, at SPIRE or in your personal life?
My goals at SPIRE is to become better at tap-backs and attend more TRX and rowing classes! I would like to become a triple threat!
What’s your biggest achievement in life so far?
I always told myself that running half marathons were impossible for me. However, in the past two years I have been able to run four! I think this is a huge achievement for me because I was able to prove myself wrong multiple times. It shows that pushing yourself against your limits can only make you better! Now I think I am crazy because I recently just registered for the 2017 Chicago Marathon!
